About the club
Bright Readers Club is a local French reading club for children in Orléans, Ottawa — and online across Canada. We help kids in Grades 1 to 6 develop a love for reading and build confidence in French through fun, engaging weekly sessions.
Every child is unique, special & welcome
Some children love reading. Some ask lots of questions. For some, reading is still hard. Some just want to make new friends. And that's exactly why we're here.
Together, we grow through stories — at each child's own pace, in a small group where everyone gets a turn and everyone belongs.
Every child. Every story. Every step forward.
What we grow together
Build confidence
Every child reads aloud in a space where mistakes are welcome.
Make friendships
Small groups where children get to know each other week after week.
Spark curiosity
Questions are encouraged — the best discussions start with 'why?'
Be creative
Crafts and activities tied to each story bring the books to life.
Show kindness
We listen, we cheer each other on, and we celebrate every step.
Grow together
Progress is tracked in reading passports, not compared to others.
